This section will guide you through the process of enrolling your device with Intune.
Note: As part of this process, you will be prompted to update your laptop login password to an MGB compliant password. This is the password you use to login to your laptop, not your email. If your laptop's password is already compliant, you can re-enter your existing password when prompted to. See more details on this below.
1. Download and install the Company Portal app from this link.
2. Click “OK” when the “Required Data Notice” screen from Microsoft AutoUpdate pops up.
3. In Finder, open the Company Portal app located in your Applications folder.
4. Click “Sign In”.
5. Enter your primary MGB Email address.
6. Enter your MGB credentials and Sign In.
7. Complete the two factor authentication with the Okta Verify app on your phone.
9. Review the Intune privacy information, and click Continue
10. Click Download to install the MDM Profile
11. On your Mac, navigate to System Settings -> General -> Device Management, and double click on Management Profile. (On MacOS 14 this is located in System Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Profiles).
12. In the bottom left corner, click Install
13. Enter your local Mac password, and click Enroll
14. Wait a few moments while the profiles install. After a minute or two you will see them populate. Verify that "Passcode Profile" is installed.
15. Switch back to the Company Portal app and click Done.
16. You are now enrolled!
17. On Macs that are enrolled in Intune, MGB enforces specific password requirements for the password you use to log into your laptop. Your laptop password must be at least 8 characters long and contain both alphabetic characters and at least 1 number. If your current password already meets MGB's requirements then you can re-enter it when prompted to change your password
18. In System Settings navigate to the "Users and Groups" section and click the "i" symbol next to your username.
19. Click on "change".
20. Enter your current laptop password in the "old password" field. If your current password matches the criteria listed, you can reuse it as the New Password. If not, you will need to create a new password. The password hint is optional. This device password will expire after 1 year and will need to be updated then.
21. In Company Portal, verify that your device status is "in compliance".
