D2L - What is Respondus Lockdown Browser and how do I install it?
Respondus LockDown Browser® is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within D2L and is often used by faculty at MGHIHP when administering exams. As a student, you are unable to copy, print, access other applications, or visit other websites during an online exam with Lockdown Browser in use.
To download Respondus Lockdown Browser, login into D2L and select the drop down next to the Resources tab in D2L
A new webpage will open. Select Install Now and follow the on-screen prompts
If Lockdown Browser is not installed when you go to take an exam that requires it, you'll be prompted to download and install at that time. We do recommend however that you follow these instructions ahead of time so that you can be assured that it installs correctly and is ready to go at exam time!
